kicker pedal tech

Here is a pic of a new kicker pedal that I built for my daddy's 39. we buy dixie kicker pedals, modify the squar studs, replate everything and reassemble. On my first cross country trip, the 3/8 24 lock nut shook loose, and I lost my kicker pedal, Look at the picture below to see how you can prevent that from happening.

See how the threads are smashed/beat over. This is the best way to assemble a kicker pedal, they are a poor design to begin with. If the kicker pedal is for one of our bikes, or a customer that claims they are going to ride the bike, I will peen over all 4 10-24 studs as well.
