New Bobber

Brittney and I went to Sturgis to pick up our new bobber. It was bobbed in 1955 or 56 in southern LA California We can trace the bike back forty years and it has not run in that time.
The bike is mainly 38 parts with a few updated pieces. Check out the cool paint job on the late 38 oil tank.
The exhaust is so neat on this bike. I will try to make a similar one for the right side. IT has an awesome aluminum plate to cover the dash cut out.
The clutch pedal is lee styled before lee was around. It is a 45" pedal that is brazed to a normal big twin section.
My heart skipped a beat when we pulled the battery top off and saw the original 47 to late 50s battery. This is so cool!
Early quick throttle
check out the right peg. IT is just the foot board mount with some tape wrapped around it.

what a cool front fender and classy spacers.
the front cylinder has a 42 and later air cooled plug in it and the rear cylinder just had some wadded up tissue in it. Check out the cool spark plug wires.
The bike sat on a cart with the wheels off of it forever. The tail lights are super neat as well. I would love to pin down some history on this bike.

  4. That is the best kind of bike. One that has been waiting to be ridden again. I just found one that had been sitting 32 years got it running and can't ride it enough.
