BB 55

Dave and Bev dropped off a 55 panhead that David's dad has owned since he was sixteen. The bike has not run in 35 years. We are going to go through the mechanics on the bike and preserve as much of the originality as possible. The bike is pretty much untouched and unharmed aside from sitting in a dirt floor shed for a couple decades. The color is one year only hollywood green. This was the only year that hd had a package that painted the oil tank, tool box, battery lid, and primary cover the main color of the bike. In 1938, hd also had a green called hollywood green, but it is more of a grass green. There have been a few guys that restored 38s and painted them the 55 color which is a very expensive mistake to make. lol

Here Bev's husband on the 55 in 1956. The bike did not have dual exhaust in this picture. It has the same style of buco bags that were on my dad's first bike--a 1953 panhead.
