Here is a mold from a 1914 right side sears axle casting. Check out the little u hall mark.

I finished welding the tabs on this bullneck today. I retubed the frame from the seat post forward. It was a pretty messed up chopper frame when it got here. I am happy with the way it turned out.

  1. Very nice. Curious, the neck/dash mount and side car loops are messed up on my 53FL frame. Top tube and cross member are ok. Would it require the same level of repair?

    Thanks - Russell S.

P.S. don't understand the 'Comment As'. Don't have a URL or weblink or any of the other things it asks for...

  2. Russel,
I am not sure how the posting thing works either? I wouldn't retube the front half of a frame unless the neck was raked and or deraked. I have welded loops back into sidecar mounts with really good success. Email me some pics of your frame when you get a chance. Thanks,
    Matt Olsen
